Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • Pinch of sea salt plus extra for sprinkling
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F; line baking sheet with parchment.
  • Whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
  • Beat butter, sugar, and egg until smooth.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients; mix gently.
  • Scoop 1 tsp dough, flatten, add 1/4 tsp caramel, seal with more dough.
  • Place balls on sheet; bake 10-12 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt; cool on sheet 5 minutes, then rack.
