Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • Toppings of choice

Instructions

Slice the Bananas

  • Peel and cut bananas into ½-inch thick rounds. Arrange them on a parchment-lined tray.

Melt the Chocolate

  • Gently melt dark chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler until smooth and glossy.

Dip the Slices

  • Dip each banana slice in melted chocolate (one or both sides), then return to the tray.

Freeze Until Set

  • Freeze the bites for at least 1 hour until the chocolate is firm and the bananas are frozen.

Add Toppings & Serve

  • Top with nuts, coconut, or peanut butter if desired. Enjoy immediately or store in the freezer.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas for best texture when frozen. Overripe bananas may become mushy.
  • You can swap toppings with crushed almonds, pistachios, chia seeds, or shredded coconut.
  • For a vegan version, choose dairy-free dark chocolate.
  • Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
  • Let sit at room temperature for 3–5 minutes before serving for the best texture.
