- All-purpose flour: 2 cups 240g
- Baking powder: 2 tsp
- Salt: ½ tsp
- Granulated sugar: 1 ½ cups 300g
- Vegetable oil: ½ cup 120ml
- Large eggs: 2 room temperature
- Pure vanilla extract: 2 tsp
- Whole milk: ¾ cup 180ml, room temperature
- For American Buttercream Frosting:
- Unsalted butter: ¾ cup 170g, softened
- Powdered sugar: 3 cups 360g
- Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
- Milk: 1-2 tbsp
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C); grease and line an 8-inch round pan.
